One thing I always check on my patterns is how small the partial pages are, the pages at the end of rows and the pages along the bottom. It’s nice to finish with a small page.
Small pages on Into The Sea are easy when they’re mostly blocks of colour and I’m stitching half stitches.
So the first row of pages is finished and I can begin to look forward to the next row. From the second row of pages the picture begins to fill out a little more, it feels like it has a little more substance, and if it isn’t a huge project then you can begin to look forward to more of the detail of the picture. On the second row I get to stitch her face and that is always something to look forward to.
