So finally I have my first good look at the skirt of the Whispers dress.  Sometimes when you’re stitching you think that the blocks are so big that the folds and drape of the skirt will be lost and even though I’ve stitched a lot of dress pages on this row it wasn’t until the other edge of the skirt was stitched that it looked like a dress.  I guess my brain just needed context to make sense of the shapes it was seeing.

But this page dragged so much, my evening stitching time has been cut and it just wasn’t stitching up nearly as quickly as I thought it should.  The skirt part was fairly quick it was getting in all of the twigs and spindly shapes that make up the background as well as the blocks of black.

The next page on this is the last page of the row and actually this means that I now only have 6 full size pages left to stitch on this chart.  There is still a lot of stitching to do and the partial pages are still fairly large, but still it sounds nice to think that I’m nearly there.
