Eternal Promise – Finished

On 12th July 2020 I finally finished Eternal Promise. Although I started it way back in 2012 it was only in the last three years that I concentrated properly on it and made it a focus piece. At first I was stitching two pages each month but that did limit the amount of time that I had to work on other pieces and I did get very bored with stitching all those greys and lilacs. Most of the time I’ve spent the first two weeks of each month stitching on this project and that was enough to stitch just over a page when there wasn’t a lot of confetti.

After the June rotation I decided that I was going to just continue on to get this finished. The last part was the forest floor section and that had a lot of switching colours in the flowers as well as a few blocks of black but it did take a fair bit of time to get into it.

The last couple of days I did get a lot of stitches done to get that finish in. I really love how it’s turned out but my favourite part is the top section with the light coming in through the trees. I need to find the perfect frame for it now and to get it up on the wall.

Finally finished and washed
