Christmas Day New Start

This year I have completed two of my full coverage pieces so it felt right that I started a new one for Christmas, especially as one of my presents was a Heaven and Earth Designs material pack. My rotation has felt a little empty without of the Randal Spangler draglings to stitch – there are a couple of them in Trick or Treat but they are only a tiny part of the picture and they are right down at the bottom and therefore years away from being stitched.

So on Christmas Day I started A Little Light Reading which is one of the draglings reading a book under the covers using a mobile phone as a light. As usual I’ve started at the top of the design and it isn’t until the second row that the dragling really makes an appearance. For the first row it is almost all stitching the sheet which is mostly peachy colours so there isn’t going to be a lot of variety at first but it’s straightforward stitching and I can thread several needles with the same colour and just power through the blocks with an audiobook.

I’ve stitched on him five times and I’m about two thirds of the way through the page so I should be able to get that page finished when it next comes up in the rotation. The plan is that it will come out every third month between Trick or Treat and Just Be.

So that’s all of the stitching for 2018, I’ve managed to get a lot of stitching done even though I haven’t managed to get a lot of blogging done. I am going to try to organise myself a little better in 2019 and try to post an update each week. My rotation plan is to spend two weeks on Eternal Promise and then one week on one of my other three full coverage pieces beginning with Just Be in January. Then for the last week of the month I’ll be working on Moon Sweet Moon with the odd small piece stitched now and then.

Hope you have a great 2019 full of crafting.
