I’ve been looking forward to finishing off this page for a while because at the bottom of this page I get to start the patchwork blanket with all of it’s lovely colours. This page is page 13 of the design but my 6th page because of the way that I am stitching the piece – I really didn’t want to work the top row of pages together because they are all the creams of the blanket that the dragon is reading under. Taking the pages diagonally means that I get to work on more colourful areas after a top row page.

Instead of creams this page was dominated by the solid white area of the mobile phone screen. It spans pages 13 and 14 and I decided to work it in one piece to avoid any shadow lines appearing. I would start the evening of stitching by working the block of white for 10 rows and then working through the other colours of the 10 rows I got some good stitching totals each evening thanks to that and by the weekend the white was finished and I knew that I wasn’t far from the page finish. It also meant that finally I could work on those patchwork colours.

I finished the page on Sunday which was the last day of the rotation so I didn’t get to start on page 4 this month, that will be waiting for me when this is next out on rotation in April.
