Back to Whispers this week and I’ve managed to complete the top half of page 6 despite not having a great deal of time for stitching.  I made a start on the bottom half of the page yesterday evening and it has been a bit trickier to follow because I’ve reached a point where a lot of branches are overlapping.  I’m trying to stitch the branches as much as possible and then fill in the blocks of the sky which seems to be working so far.  I like to work on blocks once the detail has gone in because it means I stitch over threads that I’ve run across the back of the work so it neatens everything up nicely and makes sure all of those threads are secure.

I’m hoping that I can get the page finished this week.  I think I shall go straight onto page 7 as that will be one whole row completed and another of my yearly goals completed. I’m doing a lot better than I thought I would be.  I’m beginning to get the urge to stitch some more of Little Princess so I’ll probably pick that up again soon.

Still in love with my new stand. I have everything set just right on it now, the only fiddly bit is working out where to put my pattern but I think that is being sorted out by using a magnet.
