Yes at last I’m halfway(ish) through Train of Dreams. Really it’s at 49.76% complete but I’m counting it as halfway because it’s a page finish too. It only took just over a week to get this page done and that included coming up with some quick instructions on how I do parking. There’s a link to the parking instructions at the top of the page if you’re interested. The star carriage is nice and bright and I really like the book in the foreground, the shading is so effective. Coming up on the next pages is the cookie and chocolate carriage.
With just over a week before the next stitch along week it’s time to get back onto Faces of Faery for the last page and a bit. Not sure if I’ll get her finished before the stitch along, going by past weeks then I think I should just about get her finished but the trouble with reaching the end of a project usually distorts time and it begins to feel like it’s taking forever. But it will feel like forever before I get back to the train so I might not start my next project until I’ve done a couple more pages of the train, we’ll see whether or not I can hold off a new start.

Love seeing your progress with this, I am also stitching this design but have only completed about a quarter of the first page (3%). Can I ask how long it took you to get to the halfway point? Also wondering how you get your name on the pictures you take of your cross stitch?
Thanks
Nic
It has taken about 16 weeks of stitching so far. I use photoshop to edit my photo’s and add text etc.
I have always loved this piece and keep going back to it in the HAED website. After reading your blog and watching your progress it clinched it for me and I purchased this chart. It looks fantastic. How many hours a day do you spend stitching?
Of an evening I can usually grab 3 to 4 hours of stitching time sometimes a little less. At the weekend it’s usually a few hours more depending on what else needs to be done.
