I got back to work on Whispers this week, I had meant to post an update sooner but although I took my picture on Thursday I completely forgot to do the update yesterday.  I managed to get just over half of the page done during the week – I am on page 2 of 56 so a very long way to go yet.  The first two rows of pages are background which is challenging especially as it is mostly blacks and dark blues with the odd little orb of lighter colours here and there.  I miss all the bright colours of my Randal Spangler pictures.

But she is going to look amazing when she’s done.

For now the update pictures on this piece will be of background with silhouettes of branches and dark moody atmospheres.  I am still prepping for a new start, I’m going to work a page by page rotation with a smaller piece.  The smaller one has no background at all so only one page of the design is fully stitched, I think there’s going to be lots of colour changes too so after a page on that I’ll be keen to get back to my blocks of background colour.

This week I’ve also been working on a more comfortable stitching set up, the sun is now with me and streaming through the window so I’m going to take advantage of this spring sunlight and get to work finishing this page.  Once my setup is perfect I’ll get some pictures of it to post here.
