No stitching update just yet but I thought I’d share the results of my latest framing trip.
First is Couch Dragon
Finished him a little while ago but I wanted to get a couple ready for framing before I took it in. I chose a nice textured frame for this one and it just suited the colours in the picture really well. I went for a simple single colour mount that went well with the frames and the blues of the wallpaper in the picture.
Second is Mini Lost In You
I wanted something simple for this one, black and silver went really well with the shades of grey and lifts the white in this picture. I tried with a charcoal and black mount but it really flattened the picture. In the end I went with a navy blue and a light blue grey colour that didn’t overpower the picture.
Finally Computer Catastrophes
I was really pleased to find this frame. The pattern on it is very similar to the edge of the shelf that the cat is on and reflects the decorations on the books. There were two versions of this frame one was a redder wood which didn’t work as well with the browns on the computer desk. The double mount is two burgundy types that bring the frame and the picture together without encroaching too much on the bright colours in the picture.
Pictures are safely on the wall now and I need to get on with getting more finished.
